Industry Standard "Sleeve for Mechanical Connection of Steel Bars"

This standard is compiled in accordance with the rules given in the national standard GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard incorporates the original industry product standard JG 163-2004 "Rolled Straight Threaded Reinforcement Joints" and JG 171-2005 "Upsetting Straight Threaded Reinforced Joints" and the original engineering technology industry standard JGJ 108-96 "Ribbed Rebar Sleeves" Necessary modifications have been made to the sleeve requirements, test methods and inspection rules in the "Technical Regulations for Extrusion Connections" and JGJ 109-96 "Technical Regulations for Reinforced Taper and Thread Joints". In addition to specifying the uniform requirements that all types of sleeves for mechanical connection of steel bars should comply with, this standard also stipulates their own special requirements for straight thread sleeves, tapered thread sleeves and extruded sleeves.
This product standard is used in conjunction with the current industry standard JGJ107 "Technical Regulations for Mechanical Connection of Steel Bars".
Appendix A, Appendix B and Appendix C of this standard are normative appendices, while Appendix D and Appendix E are informative appendices.
This standard is proposed by the Institute of Standards and Quotas of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
